Artistic Director – Adirondack Theatre Festival, Co-Founder of a not-for-profit summer theatre festival in
Glens Falls, NY, dedicated to emerging artists and plays or musicals. Responsible for play selection, season planning,
directing at least one project, hiring all artistic personnel including casting, overseeing Stagewrite – a playwriting
program for 6th graders in the area schools, fund-raising including corporate and government granting process and
facilitating community outreach between artists and local residents and businesses. Oversaw 13 seasons and produced
some of the region’s most challenging theatre, such as Edward Albee’s THREE TALL WOMEN, Margaret Edson’s WIT, Lisa Kron’s 2.5 MINUTE RIDE, the Jonathan Larson musical TICK TICK BOOM and 15 world-premieres,
including the solo show FULLY COMMITTED (which went on to the Vineyard Theatre, Off-Broadway and the
West End in London, and Broadway), the musical BARBARA’S BLUE KITCHEN (which ran at the Lamb's
Theater Off-Broadway), IT GOES WITHOUT SAYING (went on to the Rattlestick Theater Off-Broadway and several
theaters all over the world), MIMI LeDUCK (which ran at New World Stages in NYC), and BEHAVE
YOURSELF (which went on to the Atlantic Theater in NYC under the new title MAKE ME).
Artistic Associate – for New York Theatre Workshop- an Obie, Drama Desk, and Outer Critics Award-Winning
Off-Broadway theatre company. Annually produces a four-to-five play season, 100 readings, a
work-in-progress festival, and a summer development retreat. Responsible for assisting
Artistic Director on selection of season, running weekly artistic meeting, evaluating manuscripts, directing
readings, casting all readings and workshops—including supervision of outside casting director for season plays,
play development with new playwrights, scouting for new work to various theatrical events, and recruiting and
supervising interns. Helped to establish the artistic group of playwrights, directors, designers, and actors known
as the “usual suspects,” and was general liaison between many of the artists and the theatre.
Assistant to the Production Manager – New York City Opera, responsible for researching and
analyzing the production demands of potential opera productions, for all correspondence with designers and
directors regarding the technical needs and demands, create and maintain contract agreements with all
designers and establish the rep stage schedule for all technical activity such as load-in and strike.
